Be Kind to Moth
A short comic based on this post that’s been going around.
Please be kind to our tiny friends? Moths are really harmless, and despite the fact that people freak out over them eating holes in your clothes? Only very few species do that, and it’s not even the adults. It’s their little babus who you’ll see munching away XD. Moths are harmless in pretty much every way shape and form, and things like candles and bright lights confuse their internal navigation systems. A moth in your home flying towards a light is literally terrified and confused. So be nice the the little cutie and just bring it ouside? :)
moths pollinate at night and are also food for our ever-valuable and vulnerable friends the bats!
Be nice to moths.
best thing i learned working with and learning about kids: when they do shit like this, especially to something they themselves use and enjoy, leave it there for as long as possible. let them return to the fun thing over and over again so that it sinks in that the thing they did was wrong, they ruined something, and now they can’t have fun because of it and they should never do it again. it teaches them consequence of action and cautiousness.
i did this with a 3-year-old kid i babysat who filled his playstation with peanut butter before i got there, just every time he went back to it and asked why it’s not working, i opened it and pointed to the peanut butter stains and said “you did that” and he says “yeah”, “will it work like that?” “…no”, and when he got it and promised to never put anything but games into a game machine again, his parents bought another and he kept his promise. it works, even at that age.
this was a long and unnecessary rant but so many times i’ve seen parents IMMEDIATELY replace their kids’ toys/electronics that they destroy over and over again and i’m just like NO THEY’RE NOT LEARNING ANYTHING THAT WAY
they also don’t learn from being thrown into fires
yeah but they’re quieter that way
introducing 9999years’ img glitcher!
it’s a little page for procedural client-side image glitching! simply upload your image (drag and drop, normal file upload, or from a url) and click the buttons to glitch!
(open example images in fullview for best effect)
it simply converts your image to base64 and then modifies the data—as with hand-done data bending, corruption is inevitable, so be prepared to hit the undo button when your image breaks
file format does matter, as no conversion or processing is done, however, gifs are very volatile and corrupt easily
firefox isn’t supported, although i’ve heard of a few people being able to use it in firefox
since it corrupts images, you won’t be able to upload them directly to websites and may have trouble getting them into actual images—a screenshot service like gyazo may be the best way to save your images.
have fun & read the help or send an ask if you have any questions!
ps: try the random image feature!
I noticed in all those fandoms post they miss many awesome fandoms, so reblog if you see your fandom here (if not, add it)
I don’t think a single person on this website can not reblog this.
